The European Commission's March 2006 Green Paper A European Strategy for Sustainable, Competitive and Secure Energy indicates that, despite their diversity, especially on the nuclear question, European nations share a vision of their energy future. Common ground exists on issues such as energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, energy mix diversity, and security of energy supply. This common vision could be transformed into a European energy policy. |
